Two people can experience the same event, like a weather forecast for thunderstorms. One person decides it’s dangerous, the weather hates them and ruins everything, they cancel all plans and decide to stay in for the day. The second person hears the same report and decides—they’d better get going if they’re going to beat the storm. They leave home early, bring an umbrella just in case, and instead of walking, they take an Uber to get their errands done before the rain comes. Same event, two outcomes. The difference is in how each person chose to respond to the situation.
The same idea applies when you look to change your condition. There’s no shortage of people to tell you what you can’t be or do. The reality is, those people don’t have the power to stop you. Once you have your mind right, all it takes is vision, a belief in your ability to change your condition and being willing to do whatever it takes to see it through no matter what. The bigger your vision the more determined you’ll need to be to see it through. This is something we can all do and best of all, it’s free. It doesn’t cost you any more to think big as it does to think small. Begin now. Starting with something just beyond your reach and really go after it. Your smaller victories will build the confidence you need to tackle bigger visions.
Flip on the switch in your mind from the negative defeated problem mode to a more positive solution generating mode. Instead of saying “I can’t…”, get in the habit of asking “how can I…” flip the script and put your mind into a solution state. The funny thing about your mind is that it doesn’t know the difference between real and fake. Whatever you believe becomes its reality.
When you look in the mirror you can see one of two people, either your best friend or your worst enemy. It’s up to you each day to decide which one you see. I hope you choose to see your best friend in the mirror because that’s who you’ll need to create the kind of change you want to see. Money and opportunity are all around you but you’ll need to change your perspective to be able to see them. Once you do, you’ll unshackle yourself and make moves that bring more opportunities your way. Success creates more success and this is your time. Let’s go.
